Paul has been open from 2019 in Dunleer, Co.Louth, and having survived the Pandemic, is trading away. Mac Namees Tea Rooms provides an alternative slant to the Coffee Culture, because here, it’s all about the Tea too.
I sat down with Paul on a busy Saturday afternoon in the store to discuss what he feels makes the best cuppa, share some funny stories and tell us what secret society ‘ritual’ would be needed to turn up at his door.
Paul shared his insights about cafe culture and the importance of building community and did so with great humour and a clear passion for what he does.

Whether you’re looking for a speciality tea blend or a ‘dirty latte’ )if you listen to the episode, you’ll know what thats all about), Mac Namees is the place to come. They are open Tuesday-Saturday from 9.30am-5pm
My thanks to Paul, Patricia and his team at Mac Namee’s Tea Rooms, Unit 3, The Forge, Dunleer (A92 XC86) for their warm hospitality.
