I was thrilled when Lorraine responded to my leaflet drop and decided to participate. Although I have known of Greenbean Coffee Roasters for many years, I hadn’t heard about the cutting-edge barista training programs at “Greenbean,” with training schools in Banbridge and Dundalk, and mobile training for students and corporate teams.

Lorraine and Barry were so happy to share their love of the coffee making process, reminding us of the importance of the Coffee Roastery, which – in their words- “does the work”, to ensure that the greenbean customer always has the perfect blend for their taste.

As we’ve explored in previous podcasts, crafting the perfect cup of coffee is an art form. When the bean, the grind, the machine, and the barista’s touch come together seamlessly, the result is truly magical, earning the appreciation of customers of all ages!

Another recurring theme is the community spirit fostered by local coffee shops. Barry reminisces about hosting local artists and musical events at his café, while Lorraine shares endearing stories of regulars whose orders she knows by heart. The episode wraps up with humorous behind-the-counter bloopers, like Barry getting soaked by a rogue coffee machine and a shutter mishap that gave customers a good scare.
